Tata Harrier EV: An Overview

Launch & Platform

The Tata Harrier EV (branded as Harrier.ev) was officially launched on June 3, 2025, and production began soon after at Tata’s Pune facility

It’s built on Tata’s acti.ev Plus (OmegaArc) platform, repurposed from the ICE Harrier with EV-specific enhancements

Performance & Powertrain

Offered with two battery options: 65 kWh and 75 kWh LFP packs.

Available in both RWD (Rear-Wheel Drive) and AWD (All-Wheel Drive) configurations:

RWD: Single permanent magnet motor with ~175 kW power and 304 Nm torque.

AWD: Additional induction motor up front, totaling ~291 kW system power, up to 504 Nm torque with boost mode

Acceleration: 0–100 km/h in approximately 6.3 seconds in boost mode

Range & Charging

Claimed range (MIDC cycle): Up to 627 km on a full charge

Real-world tests show a combined range closer to 401 km (city: ~409 km, highway: ~393 km) 

Charging capabilities:

120 kW DC fast charging: 20–80% in approximately 25 minutes.

AC charging: Options for 3.3 kW or 7.2 kW at home

Design & Interior Features

Exterior:

Closed-off grille, LED light bar, 19-inch alloy wheels.

Stealth Edition sports a matte black finish and minimalistic styling 

Interior:

Premium features include a 14.5-in QLED touchscreen, digital instrument cluster (10.25-in), panoramic sunroof, leatherette seats, and ambient lighting 

Advanced tech: 540° camera system, Summon mode, OTA updates, and Tata’s iRA connected platform

Safety & Recognition

Equipped with Level 2 ADAS, 6–7 airbags, ABS with EBD, ESP, and auto-hold electronic parking brake 

Earned a 5-star Bharat NCAP safety rating, with perfect scores in adult and child occupant safety
